Basic training in tennis
Physical preparation in tennis requires improving the three basic metabolisms. The main part of the preparation can be done with various running events. The event distribution is depending on the person (age, shape, motivation, objective, etc.).
Running events on 2 to 5k (twice a week at least):
These events allow developing the aerobic qualities required by the game time. More running distance is not helpful because it is against the speed requirement.
Running events on 400 m (several series, several times a week):
These events allow developing the qualities required by the exchange time. It is not the resistance, which is developed here, but the capacity to do an exchange in a high level of intensity.
Running events on 50 m (several series, several times a week):
These events allow developing the speed qualities required by quick actions. Possibly, climbing sprints are recommended.
