Warm-up and performance

A warm-up allows activating the biochemical and biomechanical processes before an effort.

It is very important when the effort is violent (strength or speed events) but less when the effort is progressive (endurance events).

Obviously, it is necessary to warm up in movements corresponding to the efforts to do. Stretching or limbering are additional exercises.

The time requested to warm up is proper to each sportsman because it includes an important psychological aspect.

As a warm up is also a way to evacuate stress or to concentrate, it is necessary to do it accordingly to his own feeling.
