Resistance of gravity in cycling
For a cyclist, the gravity affects the speed with a negative effect for ascent or positive for descent.
Newton's law
The Newton's law determines the role of the hearth attraction. The gravity resistance Rg depends on the slope Pt (slope calculation) and the total weight, i.e. the total mass Mt (cyclist plus equipment) and the acceleration of gravity g.
Calculation formula
In summary, the mathematic formula allowing calculation is:
Rg = Mt g Sin(Arctan(Pt))
